Hello friends,
The summer is approaching, the weather is starting to warm up, and schools are getting out for summer break. There are so many things to be grateful for today. Take a few minutes and think about it for yourself. What are you grateful for right now, in this moment?
During my weekly readings I came across an article that I found profoundly relevant in my journey, but also very simplistic. It got me thinking and reflecting on my own mantra of “no excuses”. It’s an idea I took and applied it to my own life. Striving to live a life with no excuses has been a challenge, but it has also been instrumental for me to move forward in my own journey.
I encourage you to think about the excuses you might be making in your own life. This will provide insight into what things are holding you back from your dreams and becoming the person you were meant to be. Perhaps some of the following excuses will resonate with you.
But I’m already too busy.
But I would have to train.
But I’m broke.
But I’m disabled.
But my circumstances are different.
But I’ve failed before.
But I don’t have many friends.
But I work too many long hours.
But I don’t know enough.
But I have health issues.
But I already have a job.
But I’m not in good enough shape.
But I’m scared.”
My friends, the last example is actually part of every other example. Fear is at the heart of all of our excuses, mostly fear if failure and fear of not being enough. When you can learn to not let fear hold you back from where we want to go in life, you will be well on your way to becoming the person you were created to be. When you can do that, only the best is yet to come!!
