2017! It’s hard to believe. Another year has come and gone!

It is incredible to me even at my young age of 30 to comprehend how quickly time flies by.

As I reflect on the past year I am overcome with gratitude for the opportunities I have had as an inspirational and motivational speaker, but even more the blessings of all the people who have been such an encouragement in my life, allowing me to use my God given talents to help others.

I’d like to share three quotes with you that inspired me going into this New Year.

The first one is from Zig Ziegler and it goes like this “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” If you are thinking of doing something exciting and new but just haven’t been able to get started, perhaps you aren’t feeling qualified or ready. I encourage you to believe in yourself and get going.

Here is the second one:

It was St Francis of Assisi who also said this: “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible”. Notice that both Zig and St Francis use the word “start”. Action and persistence are the hallmarks of success.

The third quote from the book of Romans in the New Testament: “And we know that God calls all things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called by him according to this purpose for them.”  Romans 8:28

This quote reminds us all as we deal with the struggles of this world, that the Creator of the universe has a plan for good for those who keep their eyes on Him. It’s His promise! So for me, faith is a huge component of the gratitude mind set. Whatever you believe about God, it is pretty clear that there is a power infinitely bigger than ourselves influencing this world and our lives.

I encourage you to listen to my recent talk on “how to make 2017 the best year ever”.

My friends, with a positive attitude, and abundance of gratitude, and no excuses, only the best is yet to come!
